Lately, there have been many unsettling changes in the financial services industry, some of which are noticeable right here in central Massachusetts. Thankfully, some things have remained unchanged. At IC Federal Credit Union, we have been steadfast in our commitment to the central Massachusetts area that we’ve served for 80 years. The principles and values that have always guided us in the prudent handling of your finances are still in place today.
IC remains one of the largest Member-owned and locally managed credit unions headquartered in Worcester County. By reinvesting in our communities with a talented team of professionals that know the local market and the needs and values of our neighbors who reside here, we’ve demonstrated our commitment to you year after year.
When we make a mortgage, there’s a good chance we are familiar with the property and have likely known both the buyer and seller for years.
When we offer a loan or deposit product, we don’t have to worry about how it will play in New York, but only how it will meet the needs of our Members in central Massachusetts.
And when we help a business grow, we share their passion for success – because the success of local businesses helps all of us who live here.
So instead of looking for ways to cut our losses, we’re busy asking, “What else can we do to improve the lives of our Members?” We talk to our Members – from young adults in college, to those preparing for retirement. We strive to provide them with the latest technology, and we continuously train our valued employees to strengthen our service and expand our suite of financial products.
All of us at IC Federal Credit Union are honored to have earned the trust of our community for the past 80 years. Thank you, our valued Members, for your support.
As we look forward to the future, we invite new families and businesses to our Membership - let us partner together and continue to reach out to the community in which we live and at the same time, help you meet your financial dreams and goals. Together…we can move forward.

IC Federal Credit Union held its annual membership meeting June 11, 2008. M. Marcus Moran, Jr., Chairman of the Board of Directors, spoke about the Credit Union, “It is my pleasure to report that your Credit Union remains a strong and thriving institution.”
Despite other financial institutions facing difficulties resulting from sub-prime lending and other unusual lending practices, Moran assured IC Members and employees that “the Credit Union is unaffected and did not take part in any unusual lending practices.”
IC announced that deposits rose by $14 Million in 2007. Moran stated the reason for this growth was the “security provided with its deposit accounts.” As always, IC invested these new deposits in the communities it serves. As a result, loans grew over $90 million and included new mortgages, home equity loans and automobile loans. Moran stated “This amount of lending certainly reflects IC’s commitment to its Membership.”
Moran also praised the success of IC’s Direct Checking and Direct Savings. These Direct products, introduced in late 2006, offer Members low fees and higher interest rates for banking via the Internet.

Included in the celebration are weekly drawings for $100 gift cards as part of the IC 80 in ‘08 Red Sox Win promotion.
